Hi Apogee Friends,
Yes, Henry passed away from complications with hid open heart surgery and is dearly missed. He was my closest audiofool friend, and we spent many hours visiting each others' and various friends' rooms over the years, never finding better that what our Apogees graced us with. I have 2 of his custom Mungdorf SE250 H2O stereo amps bi-amping my 1 ohm Scintillas, and remember him every time I power them up. The world became a little less bright with his loss.
I missed seeing him the last few months and did not make his funeral as we were taking care of my wife's nonagenarian parents who both passed around the same time as Henry, whose Vietnamese coffe I just realized I also miss.
Today, I am in the process of helping his widow Mylien find homes for his Apogees, but crates and transport issues (as ever) have complicated matters. Therefore, I am trying to find a way to get them to me in Orlando as the 977 mile journey is not as easy as it was as I turn 70 soon. Henry had a pair of Studio Arrays that he asked me to look after especially, a pair of 1 ohm Scintillas, a pair of Duettas and a lovely pair or 2 of Stages.
I used Vintage Transport in the past (a fine art trucking co) with great results, but just found out they no more.
So...
1) Does anyone here know who replaced Vintage Transport as a resource for air-ride shipping Apogees?
2) Anyone interested in any of Henry's Apogees? (I am buying the Studio Arrays and will sell some of my Apogees later) - especially if you live in Texas. They are in Pearland.
3) How goes Apogee World in general?
Thank You Friends
Glen
