Saw this pair of Scintillas on Audiogon. if you have young kids, this is surely a good idea. Plexi-Scintillas!!!:)

Non-plexi pic is gratuitous - just cos they look nice, really.

yes, those are very pretty speakers.

did you move them into another room?
iirc you had them in a room with a fireplace before...

aren't they a little close to the back wall? :?

cheers, christoph

Anyone any idea how the perspex attaches to the speaker to make it secure? Assuming it isn't just leaning against it that is.

For as much as I understand it's 'folded'.

This is the same room, they're just on a solid back wall now. This isn't the listening position rather it's the resting position. When listening, i pull them out about 3.75 feet from the rear wall and put them about 6.5 feet apart and I sit about 8-10' away.

I didn't come up with the idea for these covers, I saw someone else that had some made for their stages in Susan's old photo album (lost the link a while ago). I sent the pictures to a local plastic shop and gave them the measurements of my speakers and they were able to make me a set. Total cost was around $250 or so. Since the scintilla has a natural angle, the back part will hang off so I use tape to hold the two sides together (wrapping a piece around the side of the speaker.

Could you post the contact information of the plastic shop?
