Check out my posts under GORDZ on Oct 31, 2013 and Oct 12, 2010. Use advanced search and search my ID.

You will see that the originals are no longer available, but Scanspeak makes replacements with updated specs. It seems these are the same specs as the Slant 6. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Cheers,

Gord

You are not going to find an exact match unless you can find someone selling old stock of the original drivers.

I looked into this a while ago and the closest match based on specs was this one.

I haven't tried them, so can't guarantee the results.

Here is the link for the VIFA replacement, ScanSpeak P17wj00. Check out the comment from a minor owner. The speaker from Jon is interesting, I am not technical, but the Seas speaker has a larger voice coil and larger magnet, not sure if this equates to better performance.

Note the 4 hole screw mounting vs the 6 hole in the Seas. The minor has the same 4 configuration as the ScanSpeak. The flange is also wider on the Seas. Not sure if this an issue or not.

Cheers,

Gord

Hi Gordz, weird that Scanspeak driver didn't show up when I searched Madisound.

It does look like a better bet, especially as I hadn't realised the outer diameter of SEAS driver basket is about 5mm more.

Hi Jon, I agree that the Madisound search engine is somewhat limited.
