Two Mini-Me on one Mini-Dac. Possible??

Postby Kenneth Link on Fri Mar 24, 2017 9:01 pm

Hi there. I know that my topic is about old devices, Mini DAC and Mini Me, but that is what I have, I think they are very good and I'm happy with them. I use them in Windows 7 professional 64bits. Not MAC. But there is an issue that I had never a response. My MiniDAC came with a cable 9pin AES/EBU to double XLR, like the one in the link below. I have two minime, and one of them is linked to the miniDAC with this cable, using one of the XLR out form the minime to AES/EBU in the Minidac, so my the DAW recognises the MiniDAC with the L-R inputs of the minime. I dont even need to connect the minime to the PC. Only the MiniDAC is USB connected to PC, and then I have two recording inputs. My question is: can I connect the other minime to the minidac with the other XLR end so I can have 4 inputs in the Minidac recognised by my DAW ??? Is not necessary to say that I've already tried it, but I get only two inputs, the L-R inputs of the first minime. I don't know if its a problem in the devices or something. But the second one is as if it did not exist, but independently it works as it should. If the answer is NO, what is the other XLR for ??

Thanks in advance

For a moment I thought this was about an Austin Powers movie :D
I don't drink too much coffee - you're listening too slowly.
