tuneout texting

I must say I am not into the way people have their heads stuck in phones wherever you go, drifting away mid conversation, texting on the beach, in the restaurant, and viewing life through the facebook filter...

This dude puts it well;-

Like the comment I left:
"Not a truth for all but still for many.
Worth thinking about none the less!"

Good link!

For one thing they are terrible devices to enter text into and even more when formatting the entered text. That's also why it takes people so long.

Another thing is it gives people an attitude, or a pose -I'm not quite sure how to express this- like twenty or thirty years ago in a situation people would roll a cigarette but now smoking is mostly abandoned and socially unacceptable the phone is the ideal substitute to have something in the hands and pay attention to as to avoid normal social behavior and hide the fact they really are feeling uncomfortable.
